The company...

The LDA is run by international salsa dancer and choreographer Susana Montero and elite business partner Lady Laura Goodwin-Freeman. Together they have more than 30 years of teaching and business experience. The LDA is one of very few dance companies that not only provide private Latin and Salsa Dancing lessons but also Corporate Entertainment, Bespoke Wedding Choreography and now exclusive Salsa-Dance Teacher-Training. The LDA has recently designed a unique, complete and professional programme of training to enable students to become better qualified and knowledgeable Salsa teachers which can be certified through the successful completion of the ISTD exams our training is made for.

Our philosophy...

The LDA strive to improve Salsa teaching standards and promote its many overlooked benefits with an aim to improve the health of both individual dancers and the communities the individual is from.

The LDA work towards this aim in numeroous ways which include educating, training and supporting plus continually reassessing an ever evolving genre of dance in order to react or adapt to this evolution.

The LDA...

We believe that social dances like Salsa can change your life for the better and with the programmes the LDA offer, teaching standards and thus the quality of Salsa dancing can be drastically improved and the beauty and passion of Latin Dance, more fully appreciated.

The LDA can prepare those of you who would like to have a recognised qualification as a Salsa Teacher. We will prepare you for the latest ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Salsa examination designed by Susana Montero.

Salsa has grown enormously in the last 20 to 30 years but global political and economic situations are negatively impacting the arts at present. The LDA contribute to Salsa by raising not only the standard of our teachers in the UK but also by increasing their respect and understanding of the Latin culture through one of its most popular dances.
